How? Simple, never assume that when you do anything -it has to be yours. Specially if you dont have an event to promote in your business. You do however are interested in other events - concerts, seminars (like deepinternetsecrets.com or filipinova.com) --practice by creating a FACEBOOK EVENT on those. You may also promote other things you're interested in--like that launch of the GK Social Entrepreneurship thing or a School Reunion you belong to.
The important thing is to APPLY what you learned.

2. Using Hootsuite to Schedule Facebook Posts (Updated Oct 6, 2011)
One of the best ways to use your time is to use it to do the things you LOVE. Posting in facebook is probably something that you love. But if you need to do that for your WORK and you're in the middle of a CHRISTMAS PARTY or someone's birthday celebration - that's not fun. Or maybe you're WET after taking a dip in the white sands. Your fingers cannot touch a keyboard.
BXXZZZZT short circuit.
The solution is--you schedule posts. You use Hootsuite to make things appear in facebook, twitter, linkedin etc automagically every 2 hours (check out my facebook for a demo) --while you're DOING SOMETHING ELSE.
Neat huh?
Suggestion: Post a lot of inspirational and original quotes in those social media sites (FB, twitter) people love them and will LIKE them.
You want them to LIKE you, right?
